Located in Ipswich in South East Queensland, the JBS Dinmore Plant is the largest beef processing facility in the southern hemisphere. The plant employs approximately 2,300 team members with a processing capacity of 3,400 head of cattle per day.

 

About the Role

JBS Dinmore is currently recruiting an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the team in a full-time capacity. Reporting to the Reliability Manager, the Maintenance Planner will play an integral role in ensuring our ongoing success across the plant by supporting our high-performance Maintenance Team.

 

The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in ensuring plant reliability and operational continuity within the abattoir. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime, enhance equipment performance, support production targets, and maintain compliance with safety, food quality, and regulatory standards.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning of electrical, mechanical and other PM and corrective maintenance to positively engage the maintenance workforce
  • Coordinating with operations, engineering and maintenance teams to ensure optimal timing for maintenance tasks
  • Engaging and liaising with external vendors and contractors to perform planned maintenance activities
  • Working closely with the site engineers and supervisors to develop annual budgets and cashflow forecasts
  • Working with the Reliability Manager to identify opportunities to optimize equipment reliability and uptime
  • Developing and improving equipment maintenance strategies
  • Actively participating in the improvement of site SAP PM master data
  • Planning and scheduling annual shutdown works

 

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar planning role advantageous
  • Electrical / Mechanical qualifications highly regarded
  • Sound knowledge of OH&S regulations
  • Thorough understanding of maintenance planning processes and procedures using SAP
  • Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as part of a greater team
  • Effective problem-solving capability
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage competing priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Shutdown planning experience highly regarded
