Industrial Electrician

JBS Australia is Australia's largest and most respected meat and food processing company. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our Maintenance team within the Hide Plant at our Dinmore Processing Facility.

This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining the electrical reliability of critical hide processing equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations.

About the Role

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will provide preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance across the Hide Plant while supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment performance and minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive electrical maintenance on Hide Plant equipment
• Diagnose and repair faults on motors, conveyors, pumps, VSDs, MCCs, switchboards and industrial control systems
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and instrumentation
• Install, test and commission electrical equipment and plant upgrades
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Support plant improvement projects to increase equipment reliability and efficiency
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to minimise downtime
• Ensure all work complies with Australian Standards, site procedures and JBS safety requirements

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• Current Australian Electrical Licence
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, food processing, meat processing, rendering, tanneries, or other heavy industrial environments
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, instrumentation, sensors, and industrial automation
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing maintenance team
• A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
• Flexibility to work overtime and participate in an on-call roster when required
