Fabrication, Boning Room & Harvest Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Fabrication, Boning Room & Harvest Manager to join our leadership team. This is a critical operational leadership role responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our Harvest (Kill Floor) Fabrication (Boning Room) departments while delivering exceptional performance across safety, quality, people, and production outcomes.

About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Plant Manager, you will lead multiple operational areas across the processing chain, managing large teams and developing frontline leaders to ensure operational excellence.

This role requires a highly motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, has a strong understanding of meat processing operations, and is passionate about driving performance, engagement, and continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and manage Harvest (Kill Floor) or Fabrication (Boning Room) operations
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all Workplace Health and Safety requirements
• Deliver production plans while achieving yield, quality, throughput and customer specification targets
• Drive operational efficiency through effective labour management and workforce planning
• Lead, coach and develop Supervisors, Team Leaders and frontline employees
• Ensure compliance with food safety, animal welfare, export, regulatory and customer requirements
• Monitor operational performance through KPIs and implement improvement initiatives to drive productivity and profitability
• Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Livestock and Planning teams
• Manage and resolve operational, quality and people-related issues in a timely and professional manner
• Foster a positive and accountable workplace culture focused on teamwork, respect and continuous improvement

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven leadership experience within the meat processing, food manufacturing or high-volume production industries
• Strong knowledge of Harvest (Kill Floor) or Fabrication (Boning Room) operations
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence large teams in a demanding operational environment
• Strong understanding of production KPIs, labour utilisation, yields and operational performance measures
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
• A commitment to workplace safety, food safety, quality and animal welfare standards
• Ability to build high-performing teams and drive a culture of accountability and engagement
