Environmental Officer

About the Role

JBS Dinmore is currently seeking a reliable and physically capable Environmental Officer to assist in maintaining and enhancing our outdoor spaces over day, night and weekends. As an Environmental Officer you will supervise a team of Environmental Labourers who conduct manual labour tasks to ensure the upkeep of gardens, lawns, and grounds.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Manual gardening tasks (mowing, pruning, weeding, watering)
• Yard waste management and disposal
• Planting, mulching, and fertilizing
• Assisting with irrigation system maintenance
• Operating handheld gardening equipment (trimmers, edger’s, etc.)
• Collaborating with other gardeners and maintenance staff
• Operating the Waste water treatment plant
• Strong data and computer skills

About You

• Physically capable of undertaking manual labour
• Basic gardening knowledge and skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Access to reliable transportation to and from the work site
• Valid driver's license

Please note: You will be required to work varying shifts (morning, afternoon, weekends) and some overtime may be required.

JBS Australia is the largest and most respected meat and food producer in Australia. The JBS Dinmore Processing Plant is the largest beef facility in the southern hemisphere. Located near Ipswich, in southeast Queensland, the facility has a daily production ability of 3,400 cattle and employs approximately 2,500 people.
