The JBS Dinmore Processing Plant is the largest beef facility in the southern hemisphere. Located near Ipswich, in south east Queensland, the facility has a daily production ability of 3,400 cattle and employs approximately 1,500 people. Cattle are sourced from the finest cattle producing regions to produce a diverse range of pasture fed and grain beef products, from commodity to premium. The renowned AMH brand, the award-winning Yardstick, the highly marbled grain fed Pure Prime and our state’s brand, Queenslander Beef and more are all produced at Dinmore.

About the Role
A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Manager to join the JBS Dinmore Leadership team. Reporting to the Dinmore Plant Manager, the Engineering Manager will have responsibility for a wide range of engineering and maintenance activities associated with the operations of a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The department consists of approximately 70 employees; two senior engineers report directly into this position.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the short and long-term maintenance activities on the plant to ensure the ongoing availability, reliability and capability of the plant equipment and processes
- Providing direction and guidance to the maintenance team, ensuring the maintenance and repair of electrical and mechanical assets
- Ensuring safety, production, cost, compliance, planning, reporting and plant improvement outcomes are achieved
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities in process, systems and equipment as well as manage nominated capital projects
- Providing direction, advice, assistance and leadership to the maintenance and production staff in engineering and maintenance-related issues
About You
- Must have or be eligible to obtain RPEQ qualifications
- Relevant mechanical or electrical engineering degree essential
- Advanced leadership skills with experience gained in leading engineering functions in a large complex manufacturing environment
- Ability to plan, organise and control project and maintenance activities to optimise the use of available resources
- Experience with preparing, managing and complying with R&M budgets
- Experience with refrigeration, gas and coal boiler experience highly desirable
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment desirable
- Sound knowledge of OH&S regulations
- Must have Australian working rights
