About the Role

The JBS Pork Division is currently recruiting for a PLC/SCADA Technician to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the IT Operations Technical Manager, you will be responsible for providing efficient PLC / HMI software development and technical support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain PLC / HMI coding.
• Maintain current SCADA and other process control monitoring systems.
• Analyse business and Operational Technology problems and advise on appropriate solutions and costings.
• Define and maintain 'best practice' standards and processes.
• Lead and coordinate the implementation of Operational Technology projects.
• Maintain a proactive approach to monitoring systems and assets.
• Coordinate external third parties for implementation projects.
• Ensure annual objectives are regularly reviewed and met.
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions at all times.
• Perform other duties as directed.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:  

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience in Industrial Operational Technology.
• Demonstrated SCADA, PLC, and HMI development skills.
• Experience with Rockwell / Allen Bradley control systems.
• Ignition and FactoryTalk experience desirable.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Preparedness to work flexible hours and offsite.
