About the Role

JBS Pork Australia is currently recruiting a Manager to lead the team at the Woodlands Boar Centre, based at Corowa, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of all processes relating to the collection, extending and delivery of the highest quality semen to all company nucleus farms, breeder farms and external customers when required.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure the effective management of the operations of the artificial insemination Boar Centre and quarantine facility (including boar welfare, biosecurity and cost controls).
• Supply boar semen to all breeder farms ensuring quality standards, volumes & delivery times are optimised to enable farms to achieve breeding objectives. Along with maximising genetic improvement in nucleus farms.
• Ability to train and collect semen from a boar and process semen for distribution to farms.
• Implement new and improved systems of work which will enhance long term productivity in conjunction with key stakeholders. 

About You

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A degree or diploma in Agriculture or Animal Science (and/or related experience).
• High level communication skills, self-motivation, and strong attention to detail.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Excellent organisation skills.
• Preparedness to work flexible hours.
• Current driver’s licence along with a willingness to travel to other business locations.
