About the Role

JBS Pork Australia – Farming Team is currently recruiting a Welder to support the team at our Corowa site. 

This full-time position is responsible for providing an efficient and effective repair and maintenance service for Company facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general fitting, welding, fabricating, machining and equipment maintenance.
• Perform on-site maintenance, equipment installation and breakdown repairs.
• Undertake daily work routines, jobs and project work in accordance with Company needs and priorities.
• Organise tools, equipment and materials to perform the job.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and proper working condition.
• Provide technical input on engineering improvements to production systems and facilities.         
• Contribute to key business activities (as required).
• Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, processes and work instructions at all times.     
• Perform other duties as directed.

Skills & Experience

• Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Sound understanding of mechanical maintenance practices.
• Demonstrated ability in fitting, machining, and general equipment maintenance and repair.
• Working knowledge of maintenance procedures.
• Sound communication skills, initiative and strong attention to detail.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Preparedness to work flexible hours.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Current driver’s licence.
