About the Role
The JBS Pork Division is currently recruiting for a Contracting Development Manager to join our team in Corowa, NSW, on a permanent full-time capacity. Reporting to the Contracting Manager, you will be responsible for driving the expansion of Rivalea’s contract pig farming arrangements, specifically developing business models, and executing developments for greenfield partnerships.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Developing suitable business models for negotiating contracting arrangements for greenfield sites.

Actively seeking suitable local landholders to attract interest in greenfield development partnerships.

Establishing clear building designs in conjunction with the GM – Pig Operations, Manager Veterinary Services, and the farming Project Management team.

Assisting in the development of planning applications and working with relevant parties to ensure outcomes are known within the earliest possible timeframe.

Identifying and developing key strategic partnerships and networks within the farming industry.

Consulting with regulatory bodies, councils, the environmental protection authority, and all other stakeholders as required.

Ensuring the effective management of specific environmental needs.

Seeking co-investment or grant opportunities as appropriate.

Developing an understanding of the current contracting system and assisting the Contracting Manager with other duties as required.

Managing effective relationships with local farmers, contractors, suppliers, and other external contacts.

Demonstrating sound knowledge of legislative changes and identifying the potential impact on contract objectives.

Liaising with various departments within the Company on a regular basis on work-related issues.

Contributing to key business activities.

Providing sound technical advice to employees, peers, and management.

Maintaining a cooperative relationship and positive profile of the Company within the local community.

Ensuring annual objectives/KPIs are regularly reviewed and met.

Adhering to all Company policies, procedures, processes, and work instructions at all times, and ensuring all appropriate actions are taken to implement and monitor at a site level.

Performing other duties as directed.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:

A thorough understanding of intensive livestock production (pig production preferred) gained through extensive practical experience.

Understanding of contracting models for intensive livestock production
-
High level communication skills, initiative, and strong attention to detail.

An ability to develop and maintain key relationships.

A base knowledge of investment models and willingness to seek guidance from financial experts where required.

An interest in intensive livestock building designs.
-
A sound knowledge of Animal Welfare regulations.

Effective time management skills.

The ability to positively influence the behaviour of others.

The ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

A preparedness to work flexible hours.

A willingness to travel.

Intermediate computer skills.

Current driver’s licence.
