Process Workers

JBS Australia’s Southern Division, headquartered in Melbourne, has the largest multi-species processing facility in Australia, processing beef, sheep, and goats. JBS Southern processing facilities have access to all major international markets, providing our livestock suppliers with a range of markets and brand opportunities.

Located 3 hours north of Melbourne, the Cobram Plant is located on the banks of the Murray River. This location offers a relaxed lifestyle, providing great facilities for employees and their families. 

The Cobram Plant specialises in processing sheep and goats and has the ability to handle over 4,000 head per day, operating five days per week. Growing to employ over 350 employees, the Cobram Plant offers excellent career opportunities across many aspects of meat processing.   

About the Role
We are currently recruiting an additional 200+ Team Members (Process Workers & Labourers) to join our Cobram Plant team!

The hourly rate is $25.61 (Grade 7 - entry level) as per the JBS Australia Pty Limited Cobram Enterprise Agreement 2015. This is an excellent opportunity to join our dynamic organisation and enjoy the benefits and satisfaction in contributing to the continued growth and success of our business, with plenty of opportunities for further career development within this global organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Packing or sorting of meat
• Stacking cartons onto pallets
• Trimming products
• Pushing carcases

• Ability to work in a repetitive and fast paced environment
• Be willing to receive a QFever vaccination
• Be reliable and punctual
• Have access to reliable transport to and from work
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Residing in the local area will be highly regarded
