CS Supervisor

Reporting to the Cold Store Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating day-to-day activities within the Cold Store Warehouse. You will organise work areas, monitor staffing and equipment needs, and ensure all load outs and receivals are completed accurately and on time. The role works closely with production and maintenance teams to maintain an efficient and safe workflow. It requires a hands-on, organised individual who communicates effectively and motivates team members to achieve departmental goals. You will monitor processes, provide guidance to staff, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times.

Core responsibilities

• Understands and follows company guidelines assisting Coldstore Manager to ensure all targets and goals are achieved.
• Coordinate daily operations to ensure workflow runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Prepare and adjust rosters as needed; monitor staff breaks and attendance.
• Observe and review team performance, providing feedback and support where required.
• Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time by guiding and assisting team members.
• Monitor compliance with company policies and procedures across the team.
• Check that transport and system deadlines are met each day and escalate issues promptly.
• Oversee procedures within the Cold Store and suggest improvements when necessary.
• Ensure company and transport documentations are completed accurately and accordingly.
• Ensure and follow Quality Assurance procedures with the storage and handling of all products.
• Assist with providing training for current and new employees and ensure employees are trained competently.
• Forklift/Reach/Stock picker operations required as per operational need.
• Assist with all Cold Store functions, duties and positions as per operational need.
• Attend meetings when required.
• Maintain safety standards throughout the Cold Store and designated areas where Cold Store personnel perform their tasks.
• Ability to work on a rotating roster within a Supervisory Team of four – Dayshift/Afternoon shift – Receivals/Dispatch.
• Overtime required as per operational need.
• Promote and comply with best work place practices.
