The feedlot has a capacity of 28,000+ head and employs approximately 40 team members. The feedlot includes a dryland and irrigation farming operation which supplies the grain, silage and hay required for the cattle in the feedlot.

About the Role
The JBS Caroona Feedlot are recruiting a Livestock Foreperson to join the Induction team in a full-time capacity. This position is critical for successful livestock operations and is responsible for the induction and wellbeing of all cattle, associated paperwork and supervision of the induction teams.
Reporting to the Livestock Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the team to ensure all animal welfare standards are met
- Driving best practice
- Supervising, directing, coordinating, training, reviewing, mentoring and monitoring induction team employees
- Treatment of cattle to meet company standards for cattle type
- Induction including drenching, mouthing, tagging, NLIS, recording of cattle
- Completing paperwork for all animal treatments
- Inventory management including ordering, calibration, auditing and stocktaking
- Upholding compliance with all WHS, QA and Environmental standards in accordance with company policies
- Providing feedback and relevant information to livestock buyers and other stakeholders

- Demonstrated experience in cattle handling
- Team leadership and engagement skills
- Demonstrated computer literacy and MS Office skills
- Ability to respond calmly in difficult situations whilst maintaining a strong customer service focus
- Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-skill
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
