About the Role
Primo Foods is seeking a Workplace Trainer & Assessor to join the Wacol team on a permanent full-time basis. This role is responsible for contributing to the efficient and successful operations of the Training department.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of training programs
- Planning, delivering and conducting assessments
- Providing training, advice and guidance to students throughout their learning experience
- Delivery of learning using a variety of methods – classroom, virtual, on-the-job, e-Learning and general discussions
- Identifying areas for improvement and advise recommended changes
- Coordinate with site to ensure production is managed in accordance with training requirements
- Work with Primo WHS and FSQA department to follow standards and quality assurance practices
- Planning and delivery of site induction
- Student coordination and support
- First point of contact for student support
- Support students to ensure they understand what is expected of them at all times
- Help students to learn and develop their skills
- Identify learning needs and work with site to determine possible solutions
- Provide additional assistance where LLN/disability is identified and requires reasonable adjustment
- Ensure students are supervised and safe at all times
- General administration
- Tracking progress of students
- Planning of training sessions – classroom/virtual
- Assist in scheduling training and assessment of students based on site requirements
- Checking accuracy of paperwork and ensuring student requirements are met
- Record keeping in a Learning Management System
- Updating work instructions and assessment
About you:
- Ability to support others and encourage learning
- Responds calmly in difficult situations maintaining a strong customer service focus
- Ability to consider other's perspective's
- Computer literacy MS Word and Outlook
- Required to have a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment to undertake this position
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and also within a team environment
- Must be passionate and willing to consider continuous improvement opportunities
- Ability to partner with site staff and support learning and development practices
- Sees an opportunity and acts in the best interest of all stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to work within organisational and ASQA guidelines, policies and legislation
