About the Role
Primo Foods have a great opportunity for a Transport & Administration Supervisor to join the Wacol QDC team. This role supervises all administration roles in the transport department along with maintaining good relationships with our transport providers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all admin staff perform efficiently (Chiller and Freezer), abide by company rules, safety, HACCP, AQIS and Safe Food procedures and processes
- Monitor and manage daily transport processes internally and externally, customer complaints, service levels, credits, returns, cost analysis, labour efficiencies and staff KPI’s
- Ensuring all transit vehicles are actioned in an efficient and timely manner and drivers follow onsite procedures and inductions. (Projections and Bookings)
- Maintain good relationships with transport companies
- Ensuring that pallet dockets are correctly completed and the pallet management system is kept current
- Providing support, information and reports to the D.C and business management team
- Identifying issues in relation to the WMS and Pronto and help resolve
- Helping implement training and development plans for all team members
- Developing and help maintain site manual and S.O.P’s
- Conducting regular audits and implement process improvements where identified
About you:
- Proven experience leading a team
- Experience in warehousing including staff & processes compliance.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in production and logistics
- Understand the transport industry and appropriate legislation
- Knowledge of DC systems and processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong client-facing and communication skills with good conflict resolution skills
- Self-motivated and shows initiative
- Highly organised and flexible to new ideas and changes
- Excellent analytical ability with skills that enable coordination of data, including MS-Office (primarily PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel)
