Senior UKG Workforce Pro Specialist - Roster, Time and Attendance
About the Role:
JBS is currently recruiting an experienced Payroll Systems Functional Specialist to join the Group People & Culture team to work in the People Information and Technology team.
Reporting to the Head of People Information and Technology, this role will be the lead in developing the UKG Workforce Pro configuration ensuring solutions are robust, compliant, fit-for-purpose, and delivered to agreed standards. You will act as a trusted technical authority, working closely with internal teams while holding implementation partners and vendors accountable for quality, timelines, and outcomes.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Act as a business advisor on the functional build of the UKG Workforce Pro solution
- Lead a team of payroll and time system SMEs to build out the UKG Pro configuration, development and sign off the workbooks
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on build options for specific business requirements in UKG Workforce Pro
- Functional administration of the UKG Pro Workforce Management
- Ensuring develop of time and pay rules in alignment with Enterprise Agreements in collaboration with Industrial relations and employment relations.
- Unit test configuration against the configuration workbooks
- Verify user stories and test cases in alignment with functional specifications
- Ensure compliance with industrial instruments and relevant payroll legislation.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Identify and evaluate growth opportunities through innovative technologies and processes.
- Maintain standard procedures and documentation.
- Drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and interpret new legislation.
About you:
- 7+ years’ experience implementing and supporting UKG Workforce Pro
- Proven delivery across end‑to‑end implementations, from discovery through go‑live and hypercare
- Strong expertise in timekeeping, rostering/scheduling, accruals and attendance
- Demonstrated experience configuring UKG to support Australian Awards and Enterprise Agreements
- Solid understanding of payroll legislation and industrial compliance
- Experience leading workshops and advising senior stakeholders on solution design and trade‑offs
- Exposure to integrations with payroll and HR systems (e.g. SAP, SuccessFactors, middleware such as Boomi)
- Ability to lead functional workstreams, mentor others and operate confidently in large, fast‑paced environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and ask questions as needed
- Strong ability to coordinate and communicate between multiple stakeholders.
