Senior Material Planner (12 Month Maternity Relief)

About the Role

Primo Foods have a twelve-month maternity relief contract available for a Senior Material Planner, based in either Chullora, Sydney or Wacol, Brisbane. This role supports the National Material Planning Manager as the 2IC in the day-to-day activities of the material planning team. Be an SME in planning, supporting the strategic direction, training, process improvement and leave cover for the team.

 

The Senior Material Planner owns the NPD and Deletion process, the SOX compliance process and reporting and all other key projects.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create effective partnerships cross functionally to enable effective planning, communication and execution of NPD, Deletions and projects
  • Provide visibility, guidance and clear instructions to the material planning team on change requirements
  • Attend and represent material planning team in NPD and Deletions and Project meetings and provide appropriate feedback to cross functional stakeholders
  • Ensure all material planning deliverables meet launch timelines and communicate any impacts and risks
  • Mitigate SLOB and write off from changes and communicate any impacts and risks
  • Manage the new item request process
  • Caretake and manage material planning portfolio when leave cover is required
  • Plan and generating purchase orders to meet production requirements and inventory policies
  • Collaborate with Supply Partners and look for opportunities to drive efficiencies and synergies
  • Report on SOX areas of control relating to material planning team to create visibility
  • Support the Material Planning Manager by analysing material requirements, managing inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules
  • Be an SME in systems, processes and functional area to support the team
  • Train, coach and upskill material planning team in best practice processes

 

About you:

  • Minimum 5 years’ supply planning experience, including supply chain, inventory and administration with high volume.
  • A qualification in Procurement and/or Supply Chain would be an advantage
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to analyse data, problem-solve and make recommendations
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Disciplined and organised
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Approachable and enthusiastic
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Able to work on own initiative and as a team player
