Quality Partner - Day Shift
We are seeking an experienced Quality Partner on day-shift to ensure product quality is maintained in accordance with product specifications, legal requirements, and food safety standards. This hands‑on role works closely with production and quality teams to champion HACCP, GMP, and process control while building and sustaining a strong food safety culture across the operation.
Acting as a key quality presence on the factory floor, you will provide real‑time technical support, lead audits and validations, manage non‑conformances and product holds, and drive corrective and preventative actions. You will play an influential role in ensuring safe, compliant, and high‑quality products are consistently manufactured while supporting continuous improvement across people, processes, and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to and enforce GMP, HACCP, and process parameters to ensure the consistent production of safe, high‑quality products
- Ensure compliance with Imported Pig Meat regulatory requirements
- Conduct GMP audits to assess the effectiveness of the Quality and Food Safety Management Systems (QFSMS)
- Conduct internal audits in line with the internal audit schedule
- Participate in third‑party audits and collate requested data
- Complete annual validations including Branded Product Evaluations and Cook Chill validations
- Conduct Glass, Ceramic and Brittle Plastics audits and weekly GMP audits
- Demonstrate and promote a strong food safety culture
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of quality and food safety systems
- Initiate product holds and monitor progress to ensure timely and effective corrective actions
- Investigate customer complaints and raw material or packaging non‑conformances
- Assess and analyse raw materials and packaging identified as potential non‑conformances
- Oversee non‑conformance, corrective and preventative action processes
- Manage and document Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Preventive Action Requests (PARs)
- Conduct quality rounds across manufacturing areas to ensure process and product integrity
- Support production with real‑time troubleshooting of product or process quality issues
- Provide technical assistance to cross‑functional teams as required
- Deliver accurate and timely quality‑related data to internal stakeholders
- Identify and implement improvements in safety, product quality, and process efficiency
About You
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related scientific discipline, with a minimum of three years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP, VACCP/TACCP, customer standards, certification requirements, and Australian food legislation (preferred)
- Demonstrated internal auditing capability and experience participating in third‑party audits
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence, collaborate and support operational teams
- Highly organised, detail‑focused and able to prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Proactive, safety‑focused and passionate about continuous improvement and food safety culture
