Overview

The IT Project Manager within the IT PMO at JBS Australia is a critical role responsible for delivering high-impact projects that align with business objectives and drive operational excellence. This role requires a skilled project management professional with a minimum of seven years of experience, a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, and a commitment to contributing to the culture, values, and success of the PMO team.

 

About the role

  • Partner with the Head of PMO to identify, prioritise and deliver projects aligned to strategic objectives
  • Own end-to-end delivery: planning, scheduling, resourcing, execution and benefits realisation
  • Lead cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative, supportive delivery culture
  • Manage senior stakeholder expectations and communicate status, risks and decisions clearly
  • Drive risk, issue and change management with practical mitigation plansManage budgets and ensure financial accountability across project delivery
  • Maintain PMO governance, quality standards and disciplined project controlsContribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and process enhancements

 

What you'll bring

  • 7–10+ years’ experience delivering complex, large-scale projects (ideally within FMCG/manufacturing)
  • PMP certification (essential) Agile/Lean/Six Sigma certifications highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (Bachelor’s required; Master’s preferred)
  • Strong capability across delivery methods (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) and project governance
  • Advanced proficiency with project tooling (MS Project, SharePoint, Visio and MS Office)
  • Demonstrated leadership—able to motivate teams, influence outcomes and remove blockers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidence presenting to senior leaders
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities
