We are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join the team at our Production St Snacking facility in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane. This role is a rotating roster - Monday to Friday with 2 weeks of day shift (5:30am – 3pm) followed by 2 weeks of afternoon shift (2:30pm - 11pm), with opportunities for overtime which includes weekends.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- To ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
- Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances.
- Ensure that all mechanical work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to identify faults with the ability to troubleshoot and rectify problems.
- Providing mechanical support to day shift and afternoon shift as required.
- Other responsibilities that may come up, such as working on projects.
About you:
- Certificate III or above qualifications Engineering; and/or
- Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
- Experience on highly automated packaging equipment
- Basic computer skills (Outlook, windows, SAP, CMMS, etc.)
- Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG (food experience would be highly regarded although not essential)
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.
Highly desirable:
- Certificate IV Fluid Power (Pneumatics)
- Ability to MIG and TIG Weld Stainless steel highly desired.
- Forklift Ticket highly desired
- Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG (food experience would be highly regarded although not essential)
