The Opportunity

 

Primo is looking for skilled Maintenance Fitters to join our onsitetteams in Chullora (Sydney) or Wacol (Brisbane). You will gain exposure to multiple areas of maintenance to grow your skills while making a real contribution to the safe and reliable operation of our food production facility.

 

This role offers an opportunity for work/life balance with your choice of day or afternoon shift. You will be an important part of a supportive and handson team focused on uplifting technical capability with our dedicated trade training centre.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment
  • Complete activities for production startups and/or shutdown
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis with automation technicians and engineering
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and general mechanical tasks
  • Work with our planners and automation technicians to ensure lines are efficient and productive every day

What You'll Bring

  • New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Trade) – Level 4 (Fitting & Machining or General Engineering)
  • Willingness to relocate to Chullora (Sydney) or Wacol (Brisbane) 
  • Food manufacturing or industrial industry experience (preferred)
  • Technical expertise on process/packaging equipment and pneumatic systems
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
