Mechanical Fitter

Are you looking to develop your skills and career within a large food manufacturing site? We’re looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Wacol, Brisbane.

The Role:

• Day or afternoon shift positions available
• No rotating roster!
• Monday to Friday
• Opportunities for overtime including weekends
• Starting rate is either $42.2100 or $49.4000 (depending on experience)
• The ability to increase your rate once you are more experienced at our site and with our equipment

About you:

• A positive and motivated attitude.
• Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
• Desired certificates: Certificate III or above qualifications in hydraulics or pneumatics; and/or Certificate IV Engineering Mechanical Special Class; and/or Certificate IV Fluid Power (Pneumatics).
• Ability to MIG and TIG Weld Stainless steel is beneficial.
• Forklift Ticket is advantageous
• Confined Space and BA Competence is desired.
• Good computer skills (Microsoft & SAP)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment (beneficial)
