About the Role

Primo Foods are recruiting for an Inventory Controller to be responsible for maintaining inventory at optimal levels and avoiding undersupply/unavailability of Engineering consumable parts or materials. This is a permanent full-time opportunity within our Maintenance team based at our Wacol facility.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing inventory activities day-to-day across Raw Side Maintenance areas.
  • Support Purchasing as required with day-to-day purchasing activities
  • Constantly review and optimise stock levels
  • Complete monthly stocktake/cycle counts
  • Set up MRP ordering where this will create efficiency for the plant.
  • Check/receipt ordered stock and manage despatch to internal employees
  • Assist with end of month procedures
  • Ensure accurate database (MM) management
  • Identify and manage obsolete and slow-moving inventory
  • Ensure effective issuing controls are in place and monitored/managed on a daily basis
  • Run inventory analysis through SAP and report monthly
  • Prepare weekly reporting as required
  • Manage store locations physically in SAP
  • Oversee goods receipted and issued by Storeperson

 

About you:

  • 2+ years working in Purchasing/Inventory Management role(s)
  • Demonstrated Purchasing and stock management experience
  • Experience with SAP Purchasing/Inventory Management and end-to-end processes
  • Experience in managing inventory in an MRP environment
  • Forklift licence preferable, not mandatory
  • Demonstrated computer literacy in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Responds calmly in difficult situations maintaining a strong customer service focus
  • Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-skill
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
