About the Role:

Are you looking for a change in 2022? Read on! Do you want to be part of a major and impressive food brand and its products? This role is the IT & Traceability support for the Production Street site.  This role is responsible for the general operation and maintenance of IT equipment, as well as the up keep of our Traceability system (AS400).  This system tracks and traces all ingredients and yields within the Production St factory.  This position is also responsible for ensuring correct operating procedures are maintained, troubleshoots all system errors and assists with the ongoing training and user access of factory staff as required.

 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Perform daily IT checks on equipment including computers, printers & R/F scanners in the area
  • Confirm with staff all Work Orders have been raised and resolve any system issues that may have occurred
  • Troubleshoot issues with traceability, printing, configurations, scanning, logins, interfaces and network outages
  • Perform Yield and Production reports to identify any inconsistencies
  • Assist production staff with any issues of recording stock movements as required
  • Assist staff on correct use of IT equipment & traceability software
  • Contact suppliers and organise repair for IT equipment & order spare parts
  • Support the roll-out of new applications or systems
  • Identify any upskilling or retraining requirements and be proactive in its implementation
  • Take support calls after normal business hours
  • Adopt continuous improvement strategies to improve on current systems, processes & methodologies.

 

About you:

  • Relevant working experience in IT Technical support
  • Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment highly regarded
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or certification from Microsoft (MCSE) or Cisco (CCNA) or relevant working experience in Information Technology
