About the Role
JBS Australia is looking for an IT Project Manager. This role is a critical role responsible for delivering high-impact projects that align with business objectives and drive operational excellence. This position will proactively manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to delivery while collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring adherence to company values, and supporting team members whenever needed. The successful candidate will be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, is dedicated to maintaining a positive culture, and delivers exceptional project outcomes.
Responsibilities for the IT Project Manager includes (but not limited to):
- Partner with the Head of PMO to identify, prioritise, and deliver projects that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Oversee project planning, task assignments, resource allocation, and successful project delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and adapt plans to address changes while minimizing project impact.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment by working closely with colleagues, leading by example, and being available to offer help when needed.
- Manage project budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure fiscal accountability.
- Act as the primary liaison for stakeholders, effectively managing expectations and maintaining strong relationships.
- Provide ongoing feedback, participate in lessons learned sessions, and drive process improvements within the PMO
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to PMO policies and processes.
- Prepare and present project updates to senior management, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals.
- Ensure project discipline is maintained.
About you:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management experience, with a proven track record of delivering complex large-scale projects..

Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Masters highly regarded.)

Strong familiarity with the FMCG/manufacturing sector and its challenges
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Office, MS Project, SharePoint, Visio) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).

Exceptional leadership skills with a collaborative mindset, able to motivate and guide teams to achieve their best.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
- Exceptional leadership with cross functional support teams and key business stakeholders to ensure cognitive alignment.

PMP certification is essential, with additional certifications in Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma highly regarded.
