About the Role

An exciting new opportunity has opened up in our Head Office IT Department to join our Integrated Services team to work on creating interface solutions for various corporate and operational requirements. Reporting to the IT Integration & Data Manager, this is an excellent opportunity to work for a company that is leading the way in the meat industry, and join a team of dedicated and innovative analysts.

As a MuleSoft Integration Specialist, you will play a key role in architecting, developing, testing, and deploying integration solutions on the MuleSoft platform. Beyond implementing integrations, you will also be responsible for administering and maintaining the MuleSoft environment, including CloudHub 2.0 and Hybrid On-Premises runtimes. You will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and testers to understand their requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs. You will also provide technical guidance, best practices, and support for the existing integration applications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

Design, build, document and implement integration solutions using the Mulesoft integration platform
Provide support for existing integration solutions
Co-ordinate with designers, administrators, project managers, developers, and operations
Perform security, performance, and availability assessments
Ensure accurate versioning and strict use of source control
Establish, configure, improve, and respond to production alerting/monitoring
Have a very strong focus on analysis, solution and technical design activities with high-quality documentation and realistic work estimates as the end deliverable
Initiate and lead regular reviews and redesign of processes and procedures to continually improve productivity and efficiency
Business and Data Analysis
Requirements gathering and writing specifications
Drive continuous improvement in our integration capability and align with our DevOps culture
Support of business activities using in-house developed & 3rd-party applications (some after-hours support may be required)

About You

Degree in Information Technology or relevant field desirable
6+ years’ experience in Integration Development
4+ years MuleSoft Integration Platform development (Mulesoft Anypoint platform, Cloudhub 2.0 and Standalone Mule Runtimes, Runtime Manager, API Manager, CloudHub and Studio)
Proficiency in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform for design, development, and deployment of APIs and integrations
API design and development using RESTful and SOAP web services, following best practices
Knowledge of integration patterns, including event based, real-time and batch processing
Data transformation and mapping using DataWeave for formats such as JSON and XML
Assist in maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps and Git.
Monitor deployed integrations, troubleshoot issues, and tune performance using tools such as Cloudhub Monitor, Azure Monitor, or raw log files.
Collaboration with architects, analysts, and developers to ensure architectural compliance
Contribution to backlog development, delivery planning, and implementation of delivery practices
Write clear technical documentation, including high level and detailed designs, and support guides
