About the Role

We are seeking a Hygiene Supervisor to join our team in Wacol. This role works from 10pm to 6am managing the night shift of approximately 50 people.

 

The Hygiene Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the hygiene team by developing and implementing hygiene strategies in line with company policies.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring compliance with company and legal standards (food and personal safety, quality, hygiene, and environment)
  • Customer focused delivery of hygiene to Manufacturing and Technical standards, both internal and external (BRCGS / Customer Standards / Codes of Practice)
  • The ability to document cleaning methods, train, coach and guide the hygiene operators in best sanitation practices.
  • Leading your team of hygiene operatives ensuring proper use of equipment and chemicals.
  • Making an active and positive contribution to the site hygiene team
  • Ensuring continuous improvement and engagement
  • Support robust investigations in respect of microbiological improvement
  • Employing effective root cause analysis to drive actions, leading to improved overall results.
  • Oversee pre-op tasks and ensure compliance with hygiene standards, coordinating with QA team for smooth handovers
  • Supervise daily stock checks, chemical management, and cleanliness of utensils.
  • Maintain safety documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Drive hygiene compliance

 

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of food factory effective sanitation methods are required
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Experience in low and high-risk food production is highly regarded
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite, with existing skill or ability to learn IT systems such as iLeader.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
  • Proactive, flexible and adaptable
