About the Role:

JBS Australia is currently recruiting an experienced Head of Applications and Technical Development Services to join the Group IT Team.  Based at Brisbane CBD, the Head of of Applications and Technical Development Services role is the focal point for managing the implementation, governance and support of core business applications across JBS Australia. 

As the Head of IT Business Applications, you will lead a team of subject matter experts in application development, data management and business applications.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Partnering with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT management to provide a strategic vision for new and supported applications (Application and Software Development Lifecycle Management) and create system roadmaps and business processes with a key focus to support Digital, Cloud and ERP transformation
• Establishing application roadmaps, business processes and protocols for software applications, with a focus on ease of use for both off-the-shelf and in-house developed applications.
• Manage software contract agreements for application maintenance and outsourcing.
• Responsibility over the data integrations function to ensure application interfaces are robust and secure by design.
• Management of change, risk, workload, scope, capacity, schedule, and budget associated with all business applications. 
• Implement and monitor standards around scope management, financial management (including budget management) and service level agreements (SLA) associated with business applications.
• Ensure compliance to risk mitigation with a focus on improving application performance and service to the business.
• Monitor compliance of SOX IT General Controls across business and IT services as an identified Critical Control owner.

About you:

• Experience with Programming Languages, server software and systems and lifecycle management requirements for internal developed applications
• Understanding of software development life cycles, system programming and scripting
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics development, CRM and Data Platform solutions.
• Understanding of quality assurance frameworks, testing methodologies and toolsets.
• Ability to train and support team members.
• Comfort working with teams, clients, and vendors to identify and solve problems.
• Leadership skills that inspire technical teams to achieve project success
• Tertiary requirement in a relevant field of study will be advantageous
• Technical skills are required within the following areas: Software development, Database Management, System Design, Workflow analyses, Troubleshooting, Programming, Data Analyses, Technical Support and Technical writing
• Experience in FMCG, manufacturing and / or supply chain environment will be highly regarded
