About the Role:
Primo Foods are seeking a Trades Assistant to join the Facilities team in Wacol, Brisbane. This is a permanent full-time position with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow within the Engineering department. This role is responsible for efficient and compliant operation of the Facility.
The roster alternates bi-weekly. Week 1: Monday-Friday. Week 2: Tuesday- Saturday.
There is also the option to work 4 days per week (9.6 hours per day), or 5 days per week (7.6 hours per day).
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Perform general housekeeping of plant, equipment, buildings, structures, and surrounds.
- Undertake preventative tasks for basic maintenance of air filtration equipment.
- Facility roof space inspections and diagnose root causes of service leaks.
- Communicate Facility issues to the Facilities Manager.
- Maintaining chemical inventory for cooling towers.
- Undertake compliance activities such as inspecting wall panels, emergency safety showers, fire hydrant valve rotations etc.
- Provide back-up operator support for Wastewater Treatment Plant.
About You:
- Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Current Forklift Licence (desired)
- Experience with industrial wastewater plant (desired)
- Proficient in English comprehension
- Basic problem solving and diagnostics.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiar with Quality Assurance guidelines in a manufacturing environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Basic computer ability (will be required to use Maintenance CMMS)
