About the Role:

 

JBS Australia is currently recruiting a highly skilled, IT-focused Business Analyst (BA) to join its dynamic Project Management Office (PMO) team. This role is critical in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions, ensuring that systems, applications, and infrastructure align with organisational goals. Reporting to the Head of PMO, this role will act as a key advisor, challenging business assumptions, validating problems, and driving innovative solutions to resolve complex issues.

 

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

 

  • Work closely with business units to understand, validate, and challenge business problems, ensuring a clear understanding of the true need before proposing solutions.Conduct detailed analysis of business processes and employee roles to identify and document the impacts of the ERP transformation.
  • Gather, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT capabilities.
  • Evaluate existing IT systems, applications, and infrastructure to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Investigate current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for optimisation and alignment with best practices
  • Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, facilitating workshops, and ensuring transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Translate business requirements into system specifications, working closely with technical teams to develop, prototype, and implement solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans, including test scenarios, test cases, and user acceptance testing, ensuring that solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business cases, process maps, user stories, test scripts, and technical specifications.
  • Assist in change management activities, ensuring the business is adequately prepared for system implementations and process changes.
  • Monitor and evaluate implemented solutions, gathering feedback to identify opportunities for further optimisation.
  • Proactively challenge assumptions, question existing processes, and advocate for innovative, scalable solutions that deliver real business value.

 

About you:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in e in IT business analysis, with a focus on systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Proven  ability to analyze and improve IT systems, processes, and workflows.
  • Experience working in enterprise-level environments with complex system landscapes.
  • Industry certifications such as IIBA CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Knowledge of SQL, database management, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with systems integration and understanding of APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft applications, including Visio, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Strong technical writing skills, with experience creating detailed documentation, including functional specifications, user stories, and system diagrams.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
