About You

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in analysing business requirements, operations and recommending solutions to align with organisational goals. Reporting to the Head of PMO, this role requires a minimum of five years of experience, relevant certifications, and a deep understanding of Business Analyst capabilities to support Project Managers and the IT PMO.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse complex business operations and recommend solutions to align with organizational goals.
  • Support PMO activities, including process analysis, system analysis, measuring success, and reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Develop detailed user requirements, user stories, test scenarios, and test cases.
  • Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Drive awareness of requirements across business units and identify substandard systems processes through real-time data evaluation.
  • Serve as a thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes for increased efficiency and productivity.
  • Create and implement precise management plans for projects, ensuring transparent communication at all levels.
  • Evaluate, analyse, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis.
  • Author and update internal and external documentation.
  • Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems if required.
  • Develop relationships with partners for optimised systems integration.
  • Challenge the business on scope and process, questioning existing processes, challenging assumptions, and proposing improvements.
  • Bring the business along the journey, effectively communicating and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, building relationships, gaining trust, and guiding the business through the transition.
  • Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems if required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in analytics and systems development.
  • High proficiency with SQL and database management.
  • Proven analytical abilities.
  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Visio.
  • Knowledge of developing & using BPMN solution. E.g. Signavio would be beneficial.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and user testing.
  • Extensive experience with data visualization.
  • High proficiency in technical writing.

 

Desirable Skills and Qualifications

  • Certifications such as IIBA CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of systems engineering and modelling concepts.
  • Ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis and develop strong business cases.
  • Familiarity with Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) methodology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
