Maintenance Fitter

About the Role

JBS Australia are currently recruiting an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the team at our Bordertown Plant (South Australia), east of Adelaide. This role will be responsible for providing maintenance, leadership and support across the maintenance team and greater business to drive a culture of continuous improvement.

This is a full-time position with the potential to earn $60,000 to $80,000+ with additional allowances and/or overtime. Wages are paid according to organisational EBA-Industrial Agreement.

Annual Salary/Hourly rate: $35.19

Level/Classification: Level 2 (Maintenance Tradesperson Level 2)

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by providing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance
• Engage in making, fitting or repairing mechanical machines, instruments or appliances
• Ensuring that all mechanical work is carried out to meet the Company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations
• Other responsibilities that may come up, such as projects etc.

About You

• Mechanical trade qualifications and post-trade experience of a minimum of 2 years
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team environment
• Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
• Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures
• Sound computer skills
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures
• Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired
