Rivalea Australia
Rivalea Australia
Rivalea Australia was established in 1971 by its then owner, Bunge, a large global agribusiness with its origins in South America. The Rivalea Australia business operations are centred around pig breeding and raising.
The pig breeding occurs within company owned farms, whereas the growing phase is shared between third party and company owned sites. The farms are supported by its own stock feed mills and they supply pigs to processing plants across SE Australia.
The company owns two pig slaughter and boning facilities, Diamond Valley Pork, a joint venture arrangement, is a modern facility located in Melbourne which provides service kills to third parties, whereas the Corowa plant only processes Rivalea Australia livestock.
Rivalea Australia’s customers include major supermarkets, independent wholesalers and boning rooms, as well major smallgoods manufacturers. Rivalea Australia’s established brands (RiverView Farms, Murray Valley Pork and Family Chef) serve major and independent supermarkets, as well as premium butchers.
