Payroll Officer

JBS Scone is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Payroll Officer to join our team, based at our Scone Plant located in the beautiful Upper Hunter Region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-orientated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate and efficient payroll services.

Key Responsibilities (But not limited to):

• Process weekly/fortnightly payroll for a large workforce
• Maintaining and update employee payroll records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality
• Interpret awards, enterprise agreements and legislation
• Prepare payroll reports and support audits
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to streamline processes
• Handle payroll queries with professionalism and efficiency

About you:

• Previous experience in payroll processing
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and leave entitlements
• High attention and accuracy in data entry and reporting
• Proficiency in payroll systems (SAP and Kronos) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A process-driven mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
