About the role:

As the Business Intelligence Analyst / Developer, you’ll play a key role working within the business analysis team in advancing our analytical capability. The role will range from requirements gathering, data extraction and transformation through to building business visualisations, creating and maintaining ad-hoc analysis models and managing related requests.

This role will be working with large, complex datasets across the business and will provide solutions by developing new and effective ways to assess and present accurate information in a clear, concise manner.


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Requirements gathering from our stakeholders
  • Constructing datasets and models
  • Designing, building, implementing and supporting dashboards
  • Proactively questioning data and business information from multiple sources to identify trends, risks and opportunities in line with business objectives
  • Communicating findings to the analysis team, leadership and wider business stakeholders
  • Identifying opportunities to automate supporting processes and practice for increasing efficiencies across the organisation
  • Working closely with the IT division to ensure data architecture and data governance are optimised to support business needs.


About you:

  • A graduate qualification in an IT or data related subject
  • 2-3+ years professional experience within a data analysis focused role
  • Data warehousing knowledge - ideally AWS and Azure
  • Solid SQL scripting with an advanced understanding of ETL
  • Expert dashboard and visualisation development experience preferably with Qlik View / Sense (PowerBI skills a bonus)
  • Excel & VBA knowledge (for legacy model dissection)
  • Demonstrated task ownership capability
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with predictive modelling an advantage (e.g. Python, R)
