Assistant Mill Supervisor

JBS Australia’s Riverina Beef Feedlot is a 53,333 capacity feedlot situated between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in Southern NSW. A rare opportunity exists for a highly motivated, experienced self-starter to further their career in the Feedlot Industry and will be integral to the effective management of the Mill department at Riverina Beef Feedlot.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with management of all aspects of feeding and milling functions including team performance.
• Feed commodity receival, storage & inventory management.
• Focus of feed allocation and feed delivery to ensure that operational targets are met.
• Ensuring compliance with milling grain to maximize cattle performance outcomes.
• Team management, engagement, development and training in a positive and proactive manner.
• Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations.

Criteria:

• Previous experience managing and coordinating feeding and milling functions including feeding equipment, systems and animal nutrition.
• Previous experience managing & leading teams with a focus on continual improvements.
• Ability to operate plant and equipment used within the mill section.
• Strong written and excellent verbal communication skills, high levels of self-motivation, strong planning capabilities and initiative.
• Proven Supervisory/Leadership skills and experience
