About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior .Net Developer to work on creating in-house solutions for various corporate and operational requirements. Reporting to the Applications Development Manager, this is a terrific opportunity to work for a large and complex organisation, whilst joining a team of dedicated and innovative software developers.


The role’s responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Analysis and design
  • Programming in the latest .Net/.Net Core technologies
  • Building new business solutions
  • Maintenance of existing systems in a variety of technologies (ASP.Net, c#.Net, VB6)
  • Test Driven Development
  • Deployment of applications (CI/CD)
  • Support of business activities using in-house developed & 3rd-party applications (some after hours support may be required)
  • Continuous improvement Initiatives
  • Business Analysis
  • Requirements gathering and writing specifications


About you

  • Degree in Information Technology or relevant field
  • 5+ years experience in software development in a commercial environment and.Net technologies, particularly C#, ASP, Javascript and Typescript
  • Solid database knowledge including database design, particularly in SQL Server
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to write technical specifications and technical support documentation
  • Experience including MVC 6, .Net Core, .Net 3.5 & 4.5, Windows Services (Topshelf), SQL Server 2012+, Visual Studio & Azure DevOps, GIT, Entity Framework
  • Agile software development experience (preferably SCRUM)
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Requirements gathering & design experience
  • Ability to work with business users to understand requirements and support the application.
