About the Role:

We are seeking a Manager, Environmental to deliver our Northern Operations’ compliance and reporting with relevant environmental requirement.  This role will maintain an effective relationship with key regulators, and will provide specialist technical advice on environmental and sustainability operational issues.


The role’s responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Managing the compliance of Northern operations including processing and feedlots against relevant licence conditions
  • Providing timely and accurate data and information as required by State and Federal regulators and the JBS business
  • Being the direct point of contact for the Northern operations on all environmental regulatory matters
  • Ensuring that the Northern Environmental Management System (EMS) and Environmental Management Plans (EMP’s) are current and up to date
  • Providing technical advice and solutions on environmental matters to the Northern operational and site teams
  • Provide input, support, coordination and direction as it relates to Northern Sustainability initiatives and performance reporting against the relevant environmental related Australian sustainability business targets
  • Maintain effective communication and engagement with the Group Manager Sustainability. 


About you:

  • Strong technical skills in environmental and or engineering
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy in excel, word and outlook
  • Responds calmly in difficult situations maintaining a strong customer service focus
  • Exceptional ability to prioritise and multi-skill
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a structured and matrix team environment
  • Takes other's perspective's into consideration
  • Must be energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement
