Electrical Maintenance Technician

Primo currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Electrician at our Primo Foods Wacol facility. We are seeking a passionate and energetic individual with a proactive mindset who is committed to providing an effective professional service. This new role will be responsible for solely providing preventative maintenance support across the packaging production plant. This is a salaried position on a permanent bases, have that added security and entitlements. Roster is dependent on demand and production cycles. 


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by completing effective and efficient Electrical preventative maintenance when production is not running on all packaging production lines.
  • Endorses excellent communication skills to manage day to day tasks, quality, safety issues and escalations to your supervisor
  • Ensure that all electrical work meets all company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills to identify and troubleshoot faults to rectify problems.
  • Be a proactive team member who shows initiative to build on cultural change improvements to create a stress-free environment

 

About you:

  • Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Licence qualifications;
  • Knowledge in THERMOFORMING packaging machines i.e.: MULTIVAC, TIROMAT and SEALPAC
  • Knowledge in SLICING machines i.e.: WEBER, TREIF, FORMAX and HAJEC
  • Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG
  • PLC, Variable speed Drives and Pneumatics experience is advantageous
  • A disciplined ability to work safely and autonomously in a team environment
