Primo currently have fantastic opportunities for experienced Electricians at our Primo Foods Wacol Facility. We are seeking passionate and energetic individuals with a proactive electrical mindset who are committed to providing an effective professional service. This role is responsible for providing maintenance support across the production plant on a permanent 38-hour basis, operating 5 days a week within a high-speed manufacturing environment. We have positions for both day and afternoon shift.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by completing effective and efficient mechanical preventative and breakdown maintenance.
  • Endorses excellent communication skills to manage day to day tasks, breakdowns, quality, safety issues and escalations to your supervisor
  • Ensure that all electrical work meets all company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrate high-level problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot faults to rectify problems.
  • Be a proactive team member who shows initiative to build on cultural change improvements to create a stress-free environment

 

About you:

  • Electrical Fitter Mechanic Trade Licence qualifications;
  • Strong knowledge in THERMOFORMING packaging machines i.e.: MULTIVAC, TIROMAT and SEALPAC is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge in SLICING machines i.e.: WEBER, TREIF, FORMAX and HAJEC is advantageous
  • Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced  modern manufacturing environment; FMCG is advantageous
  • Problem solving and diagnostic skills;
  • PLC, Variable speed Drives and Pneumatics experience
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience is advantageous
  • A disciplined ability to work safely and autonomously in a team environment
