IT Traceability Support Officer (6-Month Contract)

About the Role

Primo Foods have a new 6-month fixed-term contract available due to the ShopFloor roll-out as an IT Support Traceability Officer who is responsible for the general operation and maintenance of IT equipment, as well as the upkeep of our Traceability system (AS400). This role works afternoon shift (12pm – 8pm).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform daily IT checks on equipment including computers, printers & R/F scanners in the area.
• Confirm with staff all Work Orders have been raised and resolve any system issues that may have occurred.
• Troubleshoot issues with traceability, printing, configurations, scanning, logins, interfaces and network outages.
• Install and configure computer systems
• Perform Yield and Production reports to identify any inconsistencies.
• Liaises with Operator/s responsible for inconsistencies in the stock/traceability/yield records.
• Assist production staff with any issues of recording stock movements as required.
• Assist staff on correct use of IT equipment & traceability software.
• Contact suppliers and organise repair for IT equipment & order spare parts.
• Support the roll-out of new applications or systems
• Identify any upskilling or retraining requirements and be proactive in its implementation.
• Take support calls after normal business hours
• Liaise with appropriate departments regarding more advanced issues i.e. Riverview IT, Production & Maintenance managers, Quality Assurance, Research and Development.
• Adopt continuous improvement strategies to improve on current systems, processes & methodologies.

About you:

• Relevant working experience in IT Technical support
• Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment is highly regarded
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or certification from Microsoft (MCSE) or Cisco (CCNA) or relevant working experience in Information technology
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communicator with excellent listening and interaction skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good analytical ability with skills that enable coordination of data and presentation skills within applications such as MS-Office (primarily Excel)
