We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Wacol facilities in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane.  Wacol is bounded to the west by the Brisbane River, 18 kilometres south-west of Brisbane CBD.

 

This role will be responsible for solely providing preventative maintenance support across the production plant. This role is on a full-time permanent bases, have that added security with entitlements.  We operate Monday to Friday on permanent morning or afternoon shifts, take your pick, early riser or night owl, with regular opportunities for overtime. 


Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure maximum equipment uptime is achieved by completing effective and efficient Electrical preventative maintenance when production is not running on all packaging production lines.
  • Endorses excellent communication skills to manage day to day tasks, quality, safety issues and escalations to your supervisor
  • Ensure that all electrical work meets all company safety and housekeeping requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills to identify and troubleshoot faults to rectify problems.
  • Be a proactive team member who shows initiative to build on cultural change improvements to create a stress-free environment

 

About you:

  • Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence or equivalent.
  • Apply well-developed knowledge of the Electrical Safety Act, Regulations and Standards. 
  • Proficient with MS Outlook and ability to use maintenance management systems (E.g. SAP). 
  • PLC, Variable speed Drives and Pneumatics experience is advantageous 
  • A disciplined ability to work safely and autonomously in a team environment
  • Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced modern manufacturing environment FMCG - (food experience would be highly regarded although not essential)
