As an Apprentice Maintenance Fitter, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • Ensuring that all work meets all safety requirements and conforms to all relevant regulations/standards.
  • Ensuring maximum equipment uptime is achieved by completing effective and efficient preventative maintenance.
  • Completing tasks to a high standard while managing and adhering to timelines.
  • Completing tasks ensuring effective monitoring, repair and maintenance.
  • Identifying faults & take corrective action on all associated equipment.
  • Continuous improvement of plant and equipment.
  • Maintaining workshop housekeeping standards.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong drive for operational excellence. You should have:

  • The ability to work well in a team environment.
  • The ability to be receptive to instructions and feedback.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective and efficient fault finding and diagnostic skills.
  • A general understanding of maintenance work management practices.
  • A general understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures.
  • A general understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures.

Additionally, a passion for stakeholder and relationship management and fault finding are key attributes that will set you up for success in this role and your career.
